The Graph is an indexing protocol and global API for organizing blockchain information and making it accessible through GraphQL. Developers can use its explorer to discover and publish public data for decentralized applications. GRT is the network’s ERC-20 coordination token. Indexers stake GRT and process queries in return for rewards, delegators allocate tokens to Indexers, and curators deposit GRT to signal useful subgraphs. These roles connect data discovery, query handling, and participation in the network. At a high level, The Graph serves as shared infrastructure that helps applications find and use blockchain data rather than requiring each application to build its own indexing system. Its distinctiveness lies in this focused data-access function for DeFi and Web3, combined with token-based coordination among Indexers, delegators, and curators.
